SSE Summer Training, Greek Army
This short video was created during my tenure at Greek Army's Television Service, to be presented to high ranking officers and displayed in the SSE Academy's premises. Using Adobe Premiere Pro, i had to assebly footage captured by Greek Army's videographers in order to create a fast paced operational video, highlighting the training's course and the Greek Army's soldiers expertise in combat training.
Editorial Direction and Difficulties
Firstly, when assigned with the tast of creating a fast paced exhibition film,i had to gather a large quantity of footage varying amongst all the different types of training and excersices that the soldiers had to go through, in the duration of the training event. This task proved to be highly demanding because footage from a live training is hard to come by. For that reason i had to gather clips from many different videographers using different equipment and capturing media with disticnt visual differences. This fact, translates to the video editing process, as a high demant for color correction.
Throuth the use of Adobe Premieres Pro, color correction tools i was able to create a solid visual look across the whole project and eliminated the visual differences across the used footage. Afterwards i edited the video according to the music cues and used a wide variety of both video transitions and visual effects to enhance the videos urgency.
